What makes a place special? This is a question I have asked myself so many times during our travels.Β  Is it a place where you can party through the night, a place where you can meet new people or a place where you can escape people? We always find ourselves traveling to places without any … Continue reading SAPA VIETNAM – Things You Need To Know Before You Travel

Hello Botswana!!! πŸ‡§πŸ‡Ό Our camping spot for the night ✨ What better place than under an ancient Baobab tree also known as "The Tree of Life" . The trunk of this Baobab tells stories of being very popular amongst the gentle giants 🐘 for a good old back rub.
Good morning!! πŸŒ„ Welcome inside our rooftop tent β›Ί. Our last day in Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦ before we cross over to Botswana πŸ‡§πŸ‡Ό Nothing beats a cup of coffee β˜• and rusks in the morning. A true South African πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ tradition. Don't go on a camping trip without it!!
Spotting a giraffeπŸ¦’in the distance. Even though we homeschool πŸ“š we also practise some worldschooling 🌍 Kids learn 10x faster when they are interested in a certain topic and they will also remember the details so much better. Just by watching the giraffes the girls figured it must be herbivores 🌿, the females have lighter spots than the males and the list continues. So many questions ❓asked, sometimes we just don't have the answers... Thank you Google!! 😁 We just love πŸ’š worldschooling. Anyone else into worldschooling?
Our camping πŸ•οΈ spot for the night. In a dry riverbed in beautiful Namibia under the starlit ✨ sky. Mom and dad can relax around the fire πŸ”₯ while the kids are enjoying some audiobooks 🎧 in the rooftop tent. ☝️ Our number one rule - kids need to be in the tent after sunset when camping in the wild!! Never know what may roam around...
Driving through the riverbeds of Namibia! Absolutely πŸ“΅no cellphone reception, 🚱 no water. We had to be fully self sufficient, enough food, enough water and enough fuel. The thought of being on our own was quite nerve wracking at times 😨. Would definitely recommend traveling with more than one vehicle to have backup πŸš™
Enjoying an apple 🍎 in the middle of nowhere. Our roadtrip through Namibia continues. We try to take as many breaks as possible to keep the trip short and also entertaining for the kids. We enjoy a trip much more by stopping and admiring the surroundings instead of rushing πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ to the final destination 🏁. Like to take it slow 🐌? Or do you want to get there and enjoy the destination ⛱️?
